Keep it up

My first animation was horrible, but it survived for one major reason. It told a story, and it was serious. Two things there is NOT enough of on newgrounds. I feel you have taken a step in the right direction, although I didn’t much like the song choice, but that’s more of a personal preference thing.

People are going to bash it, and people are going to love it. Just let the positive reviews be your encouragement, and move on to trying to make the next one better than the last.

I like the fact that it has a theme, and feel that is consistant. Makes it more movie-like, witch seems to be what you where going for.

Found it kind of odd that the robots looked more like sceletal placeholders from 3Dstudio max. I know how much space 3D content takes up (I use a tone of it in my animations) but I dont think it would hurt to give the robots some detail. It looks as if you are an animator more than a modeler though, in witch case, the box based robots are compleatly understandible.

Good luck with the final movie/seres thing :)

Iffy? no.

The animation was not flawless, but that is not what this animation is for. I'f this is what I think it is (true case become an animation) then the story it tells is a thousand times more powerfull than visual animation could ever be. Not alot of NG users will undestand what this means, or what your friend ment to you, so don't take there comments to heart.

For what its worth, from just some person accross the internet who you don't know, I'm sorry for your loss.

Quite nice!

I am impressed. reminds me ALOT of what my older flashes looked like. One thing I realy liked is how you used many different technequs of animation. the explosion was imported and converted form a bitmap sequence, your 3D was done in SWFT (Btw, check out www.milkshape3d.com. Use Milkshape to make your models, youll be better off.)

I think you put alot of work into this, and it turned out great. The drawling its self was not that great, but you defenetly made up for it in style, and ideas.

Im discusted that so many people would consider giving you points for spending 4 days cuting and pasteing sounds together to form a half-assed sentence.

On top of that, the fact that some people work for months on high tech, 3D grapics, and spend years writing complex storylines as big as a book, to make a 2 minut cartoon that is out scored by this peac of crap.

The only thing funny about this was bens expression and mindless hoping up and down.

Go make a real cartoon.

Im real sorry that this feels like an insult to your work, but this is just a stupid parody. It's not suppose to be highly stylized. Serious work and humorous work are two different things. Ofcourse I didn't spend years writing a complex storyline. It's a parody. Had I intended to make it serious, I would have spent longer time on it. I have great respect for your work. If you wanna know the truth, I am working on some serious work with my writing and a friend's animation. Please don't hate me just because this gets a higher score. You are way better than I am at animation. Continue you're work. You can bet I'll be watching. Besides, man, it's Robotech. It's not like it ALWAYS has to be serious. A little parody once in awhile is good for it.

Athough I would like to know how you got the sounds off of the show.

People are not going to like this becouse alot of NG fans have never heard of ROBOTECH. But I realy dont like the idea of you making fun of it.

Ofcourse they won't, but you still submit your Robotech movies, don't you? Anyway, I don't hate Robotech. If I did, why do you think I went to all this trouble to get the audio? And besides, I am referring to ROBOTECH not Macross. Robotech was a show edited together for a family audiance. I agree it's a great show, but the show wasn't %100 serious and dark. In fact, it's mostly about love.

I take it this is a start of a seris? But try drawling your backrounds on the computer so it all fits together. Ferly good at making the anime aspect, but it is animated more like sailormoon than robotech. I think you should rename your cartoon so te die-hard robotech fans dont shoot you down for it. Truly did not fit in with robotech. I would not have known where the cherictors where or if it was even robotech if it wernt for the title and the word micronians.

But after all, my ROBOTECH film is a bit off the wall. Keep up the work and listen to the revews and you will go far.
